Are any of the Grey Gull and associated labels electrically recorded?
Most of mine seem to fall in the 1924 to 1927 time range according to Online Discographical Project.
Was Grey Gull truly a recording company/studio or did they press other companies masters?

Re: Grey Gull question
Yes they did make their own recordings until around 1923, after that they mostly used outside masters. Their post 1926 recordings were electric.

Re: Grey Gull question
Grey Gull inaugurated their own recording studio with electric equipment in early 1926 and used it until the company folded in 1930. A different supplier continued to produce recordings for Madison in 1930-31.

Re: Grey Gull question
Lots of good pop music on electric Grey Gull, no matter who did master recording.
