Unusal Problem

Post by dutchman »

Decided it is time to sell off a bunch of my machines - several weeks ago I thought I would start with a Pathéphone portable with beautiful cabinet - had a member who was interested in it. While playing it one more time, my wife came in and asked what I was doing with it to which I replied I'm going to sell it. What! I love this machine and play it all the time

Today I was polishing up a VV-400, again here she comes like a ghost, same scenario but I prevailed. She looked at a Victor upright next to the 400 with Tiger Oak (VV-90)and said I love this machine because of the wood. She is also in love with a Victor III which she plays to death.

So I can imagine what is coming when I go in the store room and get a list together of the machines I plan on selling. :(

Great problem to have. I am off next Tuesday. I asked my wife if she had plans for us. She said "Not really, just going to Lowe's to look at cabinets. We can go anywhere you want to go Tuesday EXCEPT look for 'Victrolas'"!.............I plan to go look at one sometime next Tuesday. Alone, I suppose.
