Unidentified machine

Hi all,
I picked up this machine this summer. There is no id tag or traces where one was. It has a single spring motor accessible by removing the baseboard. The turntable is cast iron 8" in diameter. The back bracket and horn elbow are all cast in one piece. The tone arm swivels in a socket. The reproducer just has "Pat'd in USA & foreign countries". The speed control (not pictured) goes into the case behind the crank opening. Since moving some of my reference books are still packed in a box somewhere. I know I've seen it before but can't recall. Does anyone recognize the machine? I'm wondering what company manufactured this machine. Any help would be appreciated.

Looks very Zonophone to me, but I don't know what model!

Hi ColoradoPhonograf,

I believe it is an OXFORD, Sold mail order thru the Sears/Roebuck Catalog approximately 1910-11.

The machine was made by Victor/Zonophone using the case and motor of the Victor Jr.
It was also sold with a Zon-O-Phone decal, and came with a small translucent red or blue round pedalled horn with a bayonet mount.

Nice little machine, that has just enough ump to make it thru a 10" record.

Oxford, very nice, but looks like it has been re-motored - or just the winding escutcheon moved to the brake / speed control?

Thanks guys, you seem to be right on the money. I appreciate the insights and even a catalog view, that is great. The case measurements match up with the catalog listing. The crank escution was loose and I just put it in one of the holes for the photo. I obviously put it in the wrong one at the last minute. The top board hasn't been redrilled to hold a different motor, so I believe it is in it's original location. It's nice to find out what I bought on a whim. Thanks for the scan Moo........I'll consider that offer (Lol). Do you think it would be difficult to find a horn?

The $11.60 OXFORD, looks to be based on the Victor Z, or Early I.
The $14:90 OXFORD, looks to be based on the Victor I.
The $18.85 OXFORD, looks to be based on the Victor II.
