Sadly I never took any "before" pictures but suffice it to say the machine was a mess. The horn is a nice original 11 panel that I purchased separately.

Hi Valecnik,
The bed plate on your Triumph looks like it just left the show room!! Well done. Can you tell me what you used for the base coat of black and the process for applying the decals. Did you seal them with shellac??
thanks
Pete

Pete, Gregg redid the bedplate and applied the decals. At the time, more than two years ago, he told me but I don't remember the details.

That sure looks good. It looks like the bed plate was stripped, probably sand blasted, and then etching primer put on. I did it that way and that's how you cover all the pitting that is in the metal. The primer is the key.

Dang. Now you've got me wanting to do my poor looking setup just like this. It's my go to machine for playing four minute cylinders. Beautiful job!

"Go to machine" just for four minute cylinders? See my post in the music section of Indestructible recording of "Dixie". I think a Triumph with large carriage is great for two min. also.

Thanks but I can't take credit. Gregg did the restoration.
