Having said that, I have put Micotin on moldy cylinders to arrest further growth, but those cylinders are already damaged by the mold. I still have never seen a report from a mycologist on cylinder mold . . . is it for certain a mold, or is it a chemical bloom?
I use the approach that Shawn Borri uses, I think it is a good way to clean the records without adding something that can damage the record. As for cylinder mold being a fungus or a chemical reaction, it has been discussed on this board and there are some views that this may not be an actual surface mold, but a reaction from the composition of the cylinder working its way from the inside of the cylinder.
