Are you sure that's an "8" in the serial? Script looks like a "3" to me; impossible to tell for sure in the photo of the Victor tag, but could be a "3". Obviously, the numbers should match.

Not sure why but, I keep getting "spam" mail (link only) from Dennis Lymons (this seller) email account. What's up with that???.

He needs to change the password on his email account, and scan his computer for viruses (adware).

Sorry if anyone got unwanted spam messages from my email account. My computer gets automatically virus and malware scanned weekly (McAfee security suite and MS windows defender). I looked at the report logs for all this year and nothing has been found. My e-mail address I use here is an online only service. It stores nothing on my computer other than perhaps cookies. And, I don't have it automatically log me in. I used to have my settings for this forum to automatically log me in. I don't believe it was something to do with this computer. I suspect someone may have hacked the web server and stolen address book information. I have checked my sent mail box and it contains only the messages I have really sent. I suspect that those link only messages that state they came from me are spoofed. The domain is netscape.com however AOL.com now services the account. I too received a spoof message a while back at the email address I used to register that account. At that time, I did change my password and also deleted all of the address book information.

Regarding the serial number, I'm pretty certain it is 1948 on both the metal plate and the paper tag. The machine is at my sister's house near San Diego, Ca. I live 30 miles from her. I'll ask her to verify the number and get a better picture of the nameplate. The $3-4K mentioned is right in the range I was looking for. The number I have given those that E-mailed me was "... least $3500..." but I'm open to offers. Two-thirds of the sale price will go to my sister and niece. I guess that I why I've been dragging my feet regarding selling it.

Thanks,

Dennis
