Thanks Clay but you don't get off so easy. Watch for a separate post asking for more info on the A series!FloridaClay wrote:My A250 is SN 8355, for whatever it may be worth.

Re: Auction Haul Part 2
This post made me look at my A-275, and surprisingly, the serial number is 10892. This is the next serial number from Seans. My machine also has an unusual volume control that I have never seen. Valecnik, is this the same volume control that you spoke of? Anyway, what are the odds of consecutive serial numbers of a rather scarce machine showing up?

How cool is that? Thanks for sharing, Bill!
And for anyone wondering, the Louis XVI Victrola is still "in limbo", but I'm told it should be here this week if everything works out. Waiting for this is like waiting for a baby to be born (delivered?)

That is truly amazing...Out of all those years, and all those machines...What are the odds?
Where were each of the machines found?? What states??

Mine came from a collection in upstate NY. I don't know the history behind it other than that, though.

Mine came from a collection in Illinois that belonged to an very old gentleman that had died many years earlier. His son, who was himself in his late 60's, decided to sell the collection.I cannot begin to tell you all of the great machines that came out of here. It was, as the guys on American Pickers might say,a Honey Hole.
