"Porcupine Rag" was never issued as a wax Amberol, according to Allan Sutton's book "Edison Amberol Cylinders". Blue Amberol 2739 was recorded as a disc master (Matrix 4032) and in November 1915 and dubbed to cylinder. It was also issued on Diamond Disc 50287.

I do have "Porcupine Rag"an wax Amberol 619.I thought that for Blue Amberol 2739 of the selection they went back to the wax Amberol mould.Either it got worn out,or it got destroyed in the 1914 fire. However, after the fire Edison went back to the mould for wax Amberol 18."The Preacher And The Bear"which had announcing. When that mould showed signs of wear Edison went to a version dubbed from Diamond Disc.edisonplayer

You're right! Not sure how I missed it in the book. The mould may have well worn out. "Preacher and the Bear" was initially issued as a "new" recording on BA without the announcement. Edison resorted to the announced version after the later mould was worn, all later announced BA issues of that I have seen and own are on bevelled edge copies.

While on the topic of porcupines, I really like the Edison diamond disc "As a porcupine pines for his pork, that's how I pine for you," by Billy Jones and
Ernie Hare.
Maybe I'll go out and buy myself a pet porcupine!
