Edison Museum closed?

Post by marcapra »

I am flying to NJ tomorrow to go the Hershey show and then the Wayne show. I was planning on seeing the Edison museum in West Orange, NJ on Thursday. Is it true that it's closed due to the government shut down?

It seems that anything to do with American History and what made our nation great and free, is closed. To be fair, I blame both parties for it. I would say more, but we no longer have freedom of speech in this country.

Did you call? There are a lot of volunteers that work there. Unpaid and very friendly.

I was at the Johnson Victrola Museum last weekend and it was open. It depends if it is a federal or state run site. National Parks, monuments and sites will most likely be closed, state parks should be open.

The Edison site is run by the National Park Service, and it's presently closed because of the government shutdown.
