Blue Amberol 28000 Series

Post by epigramophone »

Does anyone have the release years for the 28000 Series of Opera and Concert BA's please?

I have just acquired several and would like to be able to date them.

Ron Dethlefson's books on Blue Amberols have the following dates:

28101-28119 - Dec. 1912
28120-28183 - 1913
28183-28203 - 1914
28209-29210 - 1915

The above are directly recorded.

The following were dubbed (except 28209 and 28210):
28204-28221 - 1915
28222-28249 - 1916
28250-28275 - 1917
28276-28290 - 1918

If you could provide the numbers of the titles, the exact dates of recording and other info could be provided
by using the information found in Alan Sutton's "Edison Blue Amberol Cylinders" book.

If you dont have a copy..its highly recommended, (but a bit pricey)
