Edison Home Model D problem

I have an Edison Home Combination Model D that is giving me trouble staying either on the two or 4 minute setting. Is there a way to adjust the tension on the spring holding the "tumbler" that sits in the track for 2 or 4 minute setting? The screw has poor threads unfortunately too.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

The only way to reach Ron is to call him after 7PM weeknights.
