I have a great mandrel & shaft to a Home B phonograph that is a 2 minute and I have a 2/4 mandrel & shaft with a dent in it's mandrel. I would like to exchange the two mandrels, but I can't see how that is done without possible damage.
Does anyone know how this can be achieved?

I have used a small block of wood as a buffer and gently tapped the mandrel off the shaft. Before you attempt, make sure the mandrels are identical. Jerry

You may discover that the mandrel is soldered to the shaft, (if I remember correctly, which I don't always...)
