Re: FOR SALE Ministry of Supply HMV 102 in black £150
Unused examples from this batch of 102's were sold through Army Surplus shops well into the 1960's, and I bought one in 1965 for £5.
With the benefit of hindsight I should have bought the entire stock, but I had different priorities in those days. I was saving up for my first car.
Today the 102 is the portable everyone seems to want, so I am sure yours will sell well.

Thanks - I assumed that the Government had sold them off at some point, but didn't know when. A fiver was a not inconsiderable sum in the 1960s, but even so that sounds like a bargain. I shouldn't be parting with it, but I'm moving house and less is what I need more of!

Thanks again Neil. I am, as the kids say, stoked.
