Just to clarify,I had no intention of fishing for offers on here but I did use the auctionzip pic and thoughts from forum members to confirm what I suspected that it was a good cabinet. I pretty much got hit by a couple people with intrest. My intention was to put it on ebay and try and get the best but with offers I basically replied I have not gotten it yet making priority to get it at the auction and figure out how to sell or who's request to purchase to honor. I didn't say it was at auction to protect my interest as this is all I do for a living is go to auctions and flip stuff, its not often I have a chance to get something like this to offer up.
I'm on my way now, pocket full of money and ready to do battle for the phono, cabinet and a few other things for the flea market. I don't make a lot of money but I couldn't be happier to have such a cool and exciting job. If get them I will try and figure out what to do with it without hurting any ones feeling

Here is my same cabinet refinished. The strips in the mahogany really jump out.

Beautiful cabinet Blizz, I assume it has vertical slots for individual discs?

No slots for records. Just two shelves for record books which I don't have.

When you pull the pull,,, both sides open as the same time as they are mechanically tie together.

How nice is that. The grain on the front doors is a knockout and your velvety lilac-ish carpet is plush.

I just noticed all of your horns seem to be angled up, is it not better to have the center axis not so far away from the listening position?

The victrola went for 320 and the cabinet I think went near 400. Bear in mind these were barn finds and the cabinet showed that more than the victrola. The victrola would probably clean up fairly well with some effort and a repaired reproducer and the cabinet though complete and only veneer missing was on door it was likely in need of a complete teardown and reassemble.

I'm pretty sure that's a Herzog cabinet probably for a Victor VI. I have one that I can't find in any of the books either. It is definitely made to display a Victor VI with the ribbon striped mahogany and gold capped fluted columns. It is super rare with doors on front and back.

I think this cabinet's meant to be oriented so the doors open from the sides.

Its shown on page 187 of the Fabrizio/Paul book "Accessories and Contraptions".
