I'll be waiting for the pictures. And, congratulations! Is this your first phonograph, or just your first Graphonola Deluxe? The only graphonola I have owned now resides with another forum member. Miss it sometimes.

No this is not my first phonograph my any means. I've been collecting for many years. Always wanted a Deluxe but was never able to afford one before. This one needed a fair amount of work and I still had to pay a lot for it. I did a lot of restoration but it turned out really nice, I think.

It's a beautiful machine...You said there was a fair amount of work on it.
What did you have to restore to get it to the shape its in now?

Take it all apart and glue down all the loose veneers of which there where many.
Take off the really bad finish (super high gloss) some amateur had put on and
then do some other repairs mainly small stuff. But taking one of these apart refinishing
and reassembling is no small feat.

Nice machine. Mine is similar, but with wooden knobs and no lock in the lid. How do those speaker doors come off? :D
