AMBEROLA 30

Can anyone tell me if the Amberola 30 was made with and without a moulding around the base.

I think every Amberola 30 picture on the net should answer that question for you :P
it's not a separate piece of moulding attached to the base of the cabinet, but forms the base of the cabinet itself.

The reason I ask is because I've seen them with a shaped base and without a shaped base :P

As far as I'm aware, they all left the factory with the same ogee profile to the base frame as shown above, and only the lid profile was changed.
I would assume the one(s) you have seen with a squared off profile have had their base altered or replaced.

That is what I thought may have happened, maybe it got damaged and taken off. There are 2 on British E-bay 1 with and 1 without.
