Hi All
A friend of mine picked this bell up a couple weeks backs and gave it to me ( he is not a phonograph collector )
I thought I'd share it as in 21 years of collecting I have not seen or heard of one painted this way.
I spoke to two knowledgeable collectors about it, only one had seen one albeit a poor example. Its basically painted like a red gem horn.
I have also added a picture of my blue cygnet horn.
I might add if anyone has an original cygnet they are willing to part with that would be appreciated.
regards
Stephen

Re: Unusual Cygnet horn color
As far as I'm aware, these coloured cygnets were only made available in Australia.
There was also a green version.

Yes. That's correct. I'm here in Melbourne.
To find one with original paint is pretty difficult regardless.
The most common colour I have seen is the deep maroon. I can add a picture to show you what that looks like.
I wouldn't mind a green one. but have only seen one.
cheers
