"The Antique Phonograph" Incorporating "In the Groove"

Post by Valecnik »

I just got the December issue. It's fantastic. More than 50 pages, great pictures great articles.

I also renewed my membership for 2014 from the website a few minutes ago. It's as easy as paying via eBAY. The team that's shepherding this transition along deserves a great deal of credit. No, I"m not one of them either. :monkey:

Yes, the new publication replacing "In The Groove" is wonderful, I shall miss those great new covers on ING just the same.

Thanks for the kind words about The Antique Phonograph. I just want to point out that In The Groove has not been "replaced," but rather combined with TAP. Brantley Kuglar, the In The Groove Editor is still on the job, as is Rene Rondeau, longtime Editor of TAP They're both still putting out useful publications - - but now they're doing it together! :)

We're hoping that combining the organizations will make things better AND cheaper for antique phonograph collectors. Not a bad combination! ;)

I received my copy too, it is a very nice publication. I am a new member, to this although an old member of MAPS, since the early 1990s.

I like the new TAP, but I miss the wanted/forsale section of ITG. I've picked up some pretty good stuff over the years from there.

I'm a member of both, so this is cheaper for me. I'm looking forward to all the ITG contributors continuing along side the TAP contributors in the new combined publication. I don't recall when I joined MAPS, but it was at least 15 years ago and APS several years ago.

I also received my journal this past week after sending my dues less than two week ago. I did not expect to receive it until 2014. What a nice early Christmas present. The TAP also included a letter stating the society did not want me to wait until 2014 to receive my first copy. How nice and thoughtful is that? Thanks for thinking of us! BTW, this journal is very informative, educational and, of course, enjoyable. Keep up the good work and again thank you!!!

Thanks for the early Christmas present George & Rod. The merger was a great idea and will certainly benefit all that have an interest in the hobby.

I recently joined as well and just received my magazine. Very well done and great articles. I'm looking forward to the next issue.

It would be great if members could access the magazines as PDFs as well. Makes anywhere access a lot easier. Just a suggestion. :)

Thanks
Andreas
