What´s the way to embed a YT video?

Copying and pasting the 'Embed' link from YT doesn't work. Here's what DID work: First, copy the URL of the desired clip (which is found just above the 'Embed' link).

Then, when you are here, on a thread, after having clicked 'Post a reply', whilst in the facility for doing so, look to the rows of 'click buttons' for those labeled YouTube, YouTubeHD, YouTubeHQ.

Simply click on the appropriate one of these, corresponding to the type of clip the video you wish to embed here is. (In the above instance it was the regular YouTube 'button'.) Then, click the 'paste' function to insert the URL of the clip between the YouTube and /YouTube bookends, as I call them.

That's what worked for me!

If you go to a video via someone’s channel page, it adds ‘&feature=channel_page’ to the end, and for the board tags, you have to remove it from this URL:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_gOCd-y ... annel_page

So you get:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_gOCd-yksM

And since this video can be watched in high quality, I’d use:

Which can be accomplished by highlighting the URL and clicking the [YouTubeHQ] button. The result of this looks like:

[Of course, you can also go to your playback settings on YouTube and tell it that you want to always see the high quality video (if available).]

I feel sorry for the poor Diamond Disc, although I wonder (and will never try playing one with a steel needle to find out for myself)—exactly how much damage does a steel needle do to one of these (e.g. are they unplayable after using one on it, severely worn or what)?

I've wondered the same thing myself. Has anyone ever test played a Diamond Disc with a steel needle for the purpose of gauging damage? And who says that Hawaiian DDs serve no purpose?

One seller recently played the whole lot of some pretty nice selections on their "victrola" they also had for sale, A Victor no less. I told them it most likely destroyed the sound and retracted my Buy it now Bid as soon as I realized what had happened. Those records in a photo at least didn't look really bad, maybe the damage isn't as bad as with an actual chipped edison needle. Some of those are beyond listening. I have a bunch of culls, maybe I will pop one on the Credenza and see what happens?

I saw a picture of a Diamond Disc which was played about 30 seconds with a steel needle and the grooves was completely worn down and left was a brownish color where the grooves had been.
