I own the original wax Amberol of this, #5003, and have posted it on YouTube in the past. I'm blown away by the quality of Valecnik's transfer from Blue Amberol!

Mme. Avezza and Signor Daddi gave a worthwhile account.
But the sound is something else. I doubt many people in 1909 heard it the way you do, and were able to share with us. Those wooden stairway slats are an excellent acoustical diffusor.

My favourite opera and a great tune from it as well. Makes me think I really must get my Home up and running and sort out that dam pot metal bearing!
