Unknown Columbia(?) Oxford Cylinder Record

Hey folks!

Well, I've begun the fun project of cataloging my cylinders. I started with about 1/3rd of them that were tucked away in a china cabinet drawer. Most of them are in Gold Moulded boxes, maybe 10 or so are in Oxford Indestructible boxes and a few are in Columbia Phonograph boxes.

About a dozen or so into them, I found something of a mystery to me, (beyond the usual novice mysteries).

I have a cylinder in an "Oxford Cylinder Record" box, with "fleece" lining, very different from the 2 minute Indestructible boxes. The box has selection no. 32304 in it's title box. However, the record itself has no end rim with any identification. It doesn't look to be broken off, it looks like it was manufactured this way. On the run-out end, parallel to the rim, in the "dead-wax" are "U20", inward a little and to the right of that is the additional notation of "1365C".

I've several pictures and a video of the song playing. I swear the chorus is, "My Little Irish Rose" but I can't find any reference to such a recording on the innernut.

I hope someone can tell me a little something about this one!

Hey folks,

Well! It took me all day, but I finally found what I have over at the "Cylinder Preservation and Digitization Project" at UC Santa Barbara.

It's an Albany Indestructible Record, No. 1365, "Where the River Shannon Flows" sung by Fritz Karl in 1910. I was waaayy off with my title assumption in the video, lol.

Sweet! I like the song!
