Hello! I'm new on this forum

Post by Timo Gramophone »

Hello to you all,

I wanted to introduce myself. I'm Timo, i'm 14 years old and i live in the Netherlands. I'm very interested in Edison cylinder phonographs and records, and i have a small collection of cylinder records and 78 rpm records.
The only antique phonograph i currently have is a Edison Standard phonograph model A, from 1903. I want to collect more cylinder records in the near future.
I hope my time on this forum will be a nice time!

- Timo

Welcome to the forum,Timo...
I was about your age when I caught a bad case of "gramophonitis" and hope they never find a cure!
Hope you meet many nice people as I have and get the information to help you learn more about
the hobby (some would call it an obsession!).. we all love.

Another big welcome! There are lots of knowledgeable people here who are generous about sharing that knowledge. And you will find that there are several other new young collectors here as well. Gives us older folks encouragement about the future of our hobby.

Along with the others, I too welcome you.

My interest in the hobby began as a teenager when I purchased a few old records at the swap meet (flea market). How did you begin collecting?

My forum name, EdiBrunsVic comes from my interest in Edison, Brunswick, and Victor machines and records.
