Opera phone record
I have a friend who has a record that is labeled Operaphone. The label indicates that it can only be played on an Operaphone phonograph. Has anyone ever come across this phonograph?

Re: Opera phone record
I have never seen an Operaphone machine; but the record can most likely be played on any machine with a vertical adaptor.
The vertical Operaphone records were also designed to use a standard steel needle instead of a jewel stylus.

The excellent Search function on this forum turns up this very long thread, with pictures:

There are probably more "hits," but this should get you started.
