Does anyone know if all Heinemann motors were manufactured at Garford Manufacturing in Elyria, OH. Sounds like Heinemann ordered motors from Garford and imported tone arms from somewhere else and then had them badged as "Heinemann" or "Motor of Quality", then sold them to various independent companies for installing in cabinets.
I was looking at a Heinemann intermediate gear the other day, and it seems the metal used in the gear is very soft.

Think your right because garford was a company
Split into 3 company's one was part of the stutabaker car industry. The other one was a pickup manufacturing plant. I do belive your right because they sold different patents and they did have other plants which hey sold out of. They did make there own phonographs for a while then they went rogue on makeing phonograph motors like big company's like victrolas and other phonographs thanks.

Call me "Spoiled" ( By Victor, Edison, and Brunswick ), but I take Heinemann's slogan "The motor of quality" with a grain of salt.
Given my experiences with a Heinemann-powered Pathéphone VII, I'm not impressed.
Garford also made heavy trucks and busses in the '20s...

Ah nah you did not just insult heniamen motor nah there good motors. But you know what I did not like there ratchet gears built cheap and usually most of there motors were hermitcally sealed. But they are still really good motors over the time period they got better with better motors and more better designs I got to admit I hated the ratchet gear design on there single spring motors.
