Bill, Harry Reser is GREAT. What a rocking banjo. One of my favorite performances is on an early 1920s Columbia blue label that features him with Frank Crumit and Phil Ohman--two great talents in their own right. "Don't Say Goodbye" played on a ca. 1958 Loewe-Opta phono for electrical pick-up. A bit of surface noise, but shows what those late Columbia acousticals could hold. Just for the pure joy of music: the 1920s will live forever.
