Here is a great early Blue Amberol from around 1912. It's played on my Edison Standard model A.

Which reproducer do you use for Blue Amberols on your Standard?Timo Gramophone wrote:Here is a great early Blue Amberol from around 1912. It's played on my Edison Standard model A.

The greenish cast on the reproducer body (as shown in the video) means it's an early Model H. They were colored this way so that they could be easily distinguished from the Model C.FloridaClay wrote:Which reproducer do you use for Blue Amberols on your Standard?Timo Gramophone wrote:Here is a great early Blue Amberol from around 1912. I use a model-H reproducer on my Blue Amberols. I know that's not recommended, because the stylus wears faster than with a Diamond reproducer, but i haven't got anything better. I'm currently saving for a Amberola to play my Blue Amberols.
