Here's a fun one! I've had it for years on a single-sided Silvertone disc of Columbia origin, with the orange label and no artiste credit. Looking up the matrix number amongst the A-series Columbia records in and around 38396, I finally determined this is sung by Walter Van Brunt, who also recorded for Victor and Edison (and likely others also). As a proper Columbia issue, it's on one side of A1252, which has 'You're my baby' by Ada Jones and WVB on the flip; both recorded circa October 1912.
I've never seen a copy of A1252, or another copy of my record for that matter. It's got a couple of bad gouges in it (the worst one during the final chorus), but I gave this my best shot at cutting it all together, digitally fixing the skips and sticks you'd otherwise hear.
Transferred at 77.6 rpm.
