a demonstration of my recording process. i have built a new recorder using a polymer diaphragm and gaskets, i am still using an original Edison stylus. the canaphonic transfer process allows you to make high quality cylinder recordings from an mp3 audio file that rivals the original in both volume and clarity. most of the copies we make actually sound better than the original cylinder recording. this allows you to own any cylinder you wish, if you can find an audio file on any of the on line archives you can transfer it to a cylinder with excellent results. we specialize in custom two minute cylinder recordings and work closely with museums around the world, providing copies of cylinders that are too valuable to be played.

Re: recording " i am the edison phonograph "
Absolutely fantastic Benjamin
To get the right volume setting via the guitar amp to drive the edison recorder without blasting!!! And not to forget the Polymer diaphragm will play a massive part in this!
But i would like to hear the same recording using an edison recorder with the mica diaphragm just to here the differences would be very interesting.
