It doesn't look like the area around the motor board was molested. Somebody buy it! Jerry

...But it looks like the horn is missing. That could be tough to find.

Can someone comment on the decal under the lid.
It looks to me like a thin border of what might be mahogany around it.
Has this machine been refinished?
My eyes are not what they used to be, so please forgive me if I'm mistaken.

Far be it from me, but it is a donor.
George you are correct no horn. From what I can see, worse is no drawer and no shelf that crosses the cabinet that should be at the top of the drawer. Hence the comment about "slightly bowed sides" by the seller is justified. It also appears to have been gnawed on at the top edge just under the lid, which I interpret as a screw driver popped open the lock, and thus ruining the lock in the process.
Too bad....

I'm pretty sure that's just the decal. I could shoot the one on a Victrola XII, but it's mahogany so it kind of defeats the purpose!gemering wrote:Can someone comment on the decal under the lid.

I talked with the owner of the Oak VTLA case, Jamie, and after seeing the damage on the top edge in front and the other issues I decided not to buy it. He is less than an hour away but I just don't think it's worth it
