Victor VV-XVI L-Door

Post by rgordon939 »

Just bought another Victor VV-XVI L-Door. It's in nice shape but is missing one album, letter "H". If anyone has one there willing to sell please let me know. Will post more pictures next week after I clean it up .

Any day you can find a nice original VV-XVI L-door that's only missing one album is a good day!

Congratulations! Nice find.

If this machine takes the 10 inch albums rather than the "box", I can probably help. Let me know either here or via PM how many pages it has (some seem to have had 17 and some 18, I think the 17 page ones for made for the last L-doors). I'll check my spares once I know what you need, as I have quite a few of these kicking around.

Still looking for a 16 or 17 page 10" Victor record album with the letter "H" for my Victor L-door. I would even take one with no letter on it.

Rich -

See my PM - I have many others, just no "H".

Here are some of the things that were in the drawer of the XVI L-Door I just picked up. I was told that the machine was owned by the same family since it was bought new and that these items all came with it when bought.

I do not know what the four items are that are in the next to last picture. Are they from the packing crate? Any help identifying them would be appreciated.

In the second to last photo, the item on the right was for securing the motor during shipping. The bottom photo appears to be part of either a radio adapter or possibly an electric pickup.

WOW, a nice L-door complete with a little treasure trove. Congrats!

A couple of years ago I purchased a VV-IX that still had the shipping parts attached to the motor. I think the machine had been used for generations with those parts still attached. Jerry
