Not mine.
High asking price, but these don't show up that often.
Maybe the owner will be willing to take less???

Re: Victrola XVIII on Craigslist Maine
I think Garret's XVIII at $2600 is a very fair price. This one at $2000 is not too high at all. Jerry

Re: Victrola XVIII on Craigslist Maine
That is nice.
It's interesting to see how people who are not in the hobby sometimes price things. By their descriptions, these sellers clearly don't have the faintest clue that this is very desirable Victrola. Yet their price is a pretty good guess. Still, if next month they picked up a Victrola XI, they would probably still ask $2000. As an example, years ago, I bought a very nice Columbia BII with a wood horn and matching base cabinet for $1000. The next week the shop owner called me, all excited, that they had another phonograph I just had to see. It was an Edison Standard and, you guessed it, it was also $1000. They were very surprised when I didn't buy it.

Jerry and Jerry,
I agree with both of you!
I thought the price was just about right in this economy.
Not a steal, but certainly fair.
These XVIII's used to sell for almost double the asking price at the height of the market.
What I meant by high asking price, was $2000 is a lot of dough that many of us don't have, so this is not a machine for everyone.

Interesting. Looks like the listing was pulled? Did this XVIII have the record album books?

It did have a set of books, but they did not have the gold pull knobs.
The books had just the plain brown pulls.
Did someone here pick this up?
