Ditto to all previously stated comments. I have all 9 (both versions of TMC) and have spent countless, enjoyable hours combing through them. And the icing on the cake is the fabulous photography. A truly world-class effort. Thank you George and Tim!

It's really very decent of you all to post these nice comments. All I can say is, thank you. :)

I've said it before - - I'd have jumped at the opportunity to do these books even if I wouldn't make a nickel on them. (By the way, unless you're John Grisham, I don't recommend writing books as a good way to earn money! ) For me it was a labor of love, and will hopefully live on long after my own collection has been dispersed and I've been long forgotten. I like to think that someone will be finding our books useful (in whatever form) a century after I'm gone. To make a lasting contribution would be a real privilege.

Thanks again for the kind words, and I hope you all will continue to enjoy the books! :)

Best to all,

George P.

George, what you say about writing for the present and the future is well taken. No one is now living who was around when most of our wonderful machines were made and even the following generation, who heard stories first hand, is growing thin. And I expect much important documentation continues to be lost; destroyed by fires and floods, thrown away by those with no idea what they have, and rotting away in damp corners. Recording accumulated knowledge before it is gone is so important!

Thanks to this endless winter, I have plenty of time to read this giant stack of books that arrived on my doorstep yesterday! (Top 2 are not George and Tim's, obviously, but those came as well.)

My goodness! You won't need to get off the couch for some time! Hope you have a small 1930's refridgerator close by for "period carbonated beverages". Where's the Diamond Disc book though? :D

Now, that is an impressive collection in and of itself! Happy reading! :ugeek:

These books are a must for all collectors big and small. Another great set of books are the ones that Robin and Joan Rolfs have done covering the Nipper collectables.

I have 6 of the P&F books in my collection of 31 phonograph reference books. (yeah, I'll buy the other two at some point).
The P&F books are all very much worth the money. Highly recommended :D

Yes, those are great books as well. I got them because my Nipper radiator mascot is featured on the cover!

Quite a collection. I tried forever to get the Edison Cylinder and I was in a "money no object" mood...

By the way, this is not a bookmark to return to to get these books later........

(PS, yes, it is.)
