And looks like a nice one at that! Almost makes me want to jump in the car and head 600 miles north!

Mmm, wonder how it got from "Philada" (that's an old-timey designation for Philadelphia) to Asheville? That might make an interesting story in itself.

If you google "C.J. Heppe & Son Philadelphia" you'll find that the Heppe family made, sold, repaired, and tuned pianos: http://www.bluebookofpianos.com/kron4.htm . There's more information on the family business, which evidently included selling phonographs, in the many google citations.

See Heppe's salesroom here: http://books.google.com/books?id=h-0Gcg ... ia&f=false

How does that make it a scam? I've had plenty of experiences where sellers may actually not be able to respond quickly, but do eventually. Or...maybe it's sold already and they haven't taken the ad down yet.

One time a seller did not respond to my emails. The ad was re-posted and thinking that odd I sent an email from a different email address. I received a response right away. Probably not checking spam or inadvertently blocked a domain.

Where else is / was it listed? Where are the pictures stolen from then? I'd like to know and I'm sure others would as well. I was just asking. No need to get snippy.

Didn't mean to sound snippy Sean. I saw the same picture on another site, but don't remember where.
