I seem to remember reading somewhere that Ginn would build a machine to the customers specification ie. a special cabinet.

As the ad says, It was built especially for the customer in S.Africa.
The radiogram would have been installed by Expert. A real shame it was removed.
The Garrard 201 at the time would have been the best turntable available. It was obviously a very rare and special order for Ginn to use it in his ad. I'm sure he would have charged top dollar for it too.
As for special order S.African machines. Last year there was a Garrard 301 on Ebay that had all gold plated parts.
