Weird Copyright Issue on YouTube

I posted a Duke Ellington recording from a 1947 78 rpm record on YouTube and got a copyright notice from YouTube listing the copyright owners and that it's view would be blocked in certain countries. I clicked the countries list and it is blocked in Antarctica. Antarctica??

This just seems really weird to me.

tell me about it! Makes about as much sense as why there should be SEVEN separate copy right claims on this video I uploaded of this piece recorded 105 years ago from La Bohéme on Edison cylinder. FIVE of the claims seem to be related to a composition by or about "Mama Lover??? Dispute all of those claims. It's a pain but you will win eventually.

It would be interesting to know how your disputes turn out. Last time I disputed a copyright claim, I was threatened with cancellation of my YouTube account and lawsuits. The copyright folks have tons of lawyers and YT in their back pocket, it seems.

I have also received copyright notices from recordings over 100 years old.

So far I've disputed well over 100 claims. So far I've, in the end, won every one of them. Some of the disputes were "reinstated" and I had to appeal. I won all of the appeals too so far after having received all the same threats re. cancellation of my account, criminal blah blah blah.

These copyright trolls are in bed with youTube because they mutually benefit at our expense. Absolute scum bags they are!

The fact is that YT is hopelessly corrupt, ever since the GoogleReich conquered it. Anyone with a lick of sense, or a rudimentary sense of decency, should boycott it.
