I thought so, but after all of the discussions about sleeves, I wasn't quite sure. I know I've never seen it with a paper label. It sure would be nice to have a later pressing of that record. Edison without so much background noise.

That record was at Union a couple years ago. Anyone know who's got it?VintageTechnologies wrote:He is referring to the record's paper label. They do exist, I saw one in Union over 30 years ago -- it was autographed by Edison no less!phonojim wrote:Amberola, are you referring to the record label or the sleeve? I have never seen a copy of LUNF with a paper label. It seems to me that someone was selling reproductions of the sleeve a few years back, but I don't remember who it was.

The Donleys, owners of the Seven Acres Museum in Union, bought that autographed record at the same event where I saw it. Someone had brought in a small stack of paper label LUNF and Donleys bought them all. I tried in vain to buy one from the Donleys, but they wouldn't even discuss it. They spent the last few years selling out their phonograph collection, so I have no idea where the autographed record is now.
