I believe today is the anniversary of Edison patent of the phonograph?

This morning, I did listen to about 30 of the 40-some 2-minute cylinders I picked-up a few weeks ago...


At the time, I was not aware of the Patent anniversary... :oops:

I always say old enough to know better but young enough to ignore the info

Thanks fellows! :)

I turned 60 yesterday. I remember thinking that 60 was old! I think I'm younger than my dad was at 40...

But back to February 19: that's also the date (in 1895) of the granting of Berliner's most important Gramophone patent (No.534,543) which covered, among other things, any sound reproducing device where the needle was propelled by the record groove. :)
