Edison Record Slips c.1902-1903

Post by CDBPDX »

Received a bunch of cylinders from eBay some time back, 10 of 12 were smashed to bits, but the wrappings were nice original. The 2 remaining cylinders appear to be in very nice condition, though almost completely lacking luster. There were a couple brown wax cylinders in the smashed group. I received a full refund and I got to keep what was left.

Each of them came with original Edison record slips, 2 different varieties - 1 dated July 1902 and the other dated July 1903. Pictures of the front and back of each variety are attached.

Nice record slips. These are the icing on the cake to complete a cylinder with original box and lid. Too bad your cylinders got smashed to bits. I never buy wax cylinders to be shipped. To many times they break in shipment, no matter how careful they are packed.
