It might help if you asked exactly what it is you would like to know.

They are a mastery to me. Oim assuming they come from the Regina music box company. I'm interested in the history, rarity, and value of such machines.

That would be a Regina Hexaphone - a good short history is here http://edisontinfoil.com/hexaphone101.htm
They were very successful - the best selling cylinder record jukebox - and though they are quite desirable items they are not exceedingly rare. Regina was still building them in 1921.

There are two machines that Regina made that could be the subject of this discussion. One is the Regina Hexaphone, as mentioned. The other is the Reginaphone. This is a tabletop Hexaphone that precedes the Hexaphone that is more commonly seen. The Reginaphone is quite rare and I don't believe there are more than about a dozen around. I'll attach a picture of both. One picture shows the table top. The other two show the Hexaphone cabinet and a restored works.

As for the 'Reginaphone': as far as I know, that label was applied only to the disc talking machine/music box combinations, in collaboration with Columbia. I have not heard of or seen any coin-op examples of this…kendphono wrote:There are two machines that Regina made that could be the subject of this discussion. Is that a Circassian Walnut Louis XVI Diamond Disc machine that I spy inext to the Hexaphone? It would make a wonderful featured machine. (Wink, wink. Nudge, nudge.... Say no more, say no more!)kendphono wrote:There are two machines that Regina made that could be the subject of this discussion. One is the Regina Hexaphone, as mentioned.
