Another item from my father's things. As was the majority of his things, this little GEM was just brought home, tagged with a description, and placed on the floor or a shelf and never touched. He had many aspirations to get to things some day, but he just never did.
Here we have a Combination Model D Maroon Gem Serial #354193. The pictures do a pretty good job of showing the over-all appearance. The paint and striping are pretty good, with only minor loss. Base board has split and will need re-glued. I did remove the board...the motor is complete and the spring is broken yet it is present. All parts are present, and it does not appear to have been jacked with as far as I can tell. Combination K reproducer is stuck in place, yet is intact and both stylus appear good. Stylus bar switches sides easily.
Lid has extra holes (who knows why??), and the handle is missing...yet is solid with only one small area of veneer lifting.
All in all, a nice little project and pretty clean machine that will not take much to get up and going. No crane or horn.
Price is $400 plus $40 to pack it up and ship it to you.
