The sender didn't have a large enough box and was too lazy to get one! Pathetic!!!!

That's one for the books!
It's amazing how many things make it to over 100 years old only to have some jerk selling it damage it, defile it or handle it incorrectly.
Just think, 100 years ago, Putting something in a box like that and shipping it in the mail would be absolutely normal.
I guess the seller wanted to give you the "complete" 100 year old affect like if it was sent to you by and Edison repair Jobber of the day! LOL!!!
From now on, You'll never look at that horn the same way, I can tell you that. Enjoy your prize! Thank God that it wasn't damaged!
