Edison B80 - matching color of original grill cloth

Post by jimmantwo »

My B80 was missing a grill so I ordered a replacement from Thomas Rutkowski. He does fine work and is very reasonable.

There is green fabric on the inside of the upper cabinet below the arm, which is quite light in color. I believe it to be close to its original color as the inside of the upper cabinet is fairly pristine. Most of the pictures I can find of the exterior grill cloth are a darker green. I assume the exterior grill cloth would darken with exposure to dirt over the years. Does anyone definitively know if the 2 cloths originally matched and if unsure what are your opinions? The picture attached is not my machine but the color is about the same. Thanks - Jim

My observations are that the grille cloths originally matched. :)
