I need a Busy Bee reproducer and a crank for a Busy Bee Grand disk player. I have everything else for this and it's now working, and I can't wait to actually play it. I mostly need the reproducer and would like for it to be original. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank You

Re: WANTED: Busy Bee Grand Reproducer and Crank
I bought a bunch of parts at auction a few months back, and I am told the crank on the right is for a busy bee disk machine. It matches the crank on my Harmony front mount as well. You're welcome to it if it is the correct part.

It is advertised as an original, but the needle bar is not original. It looks like the type Norm Smith sold and are still available.phonogfp wrote:Here's one on eBay:

Re: WANTED: Busy Bee Grand Reproducer and Crank
I've never actually seen a detailed photo of the correct crank. I think that the shaft is about 5/16" in diameter and the pin is about ¾" form the tip of the shaft. The pin is about 1-¼" from the outside face of the case. I'm very interested in buying one of your cranks, if it is correct.rizbone wrote:I bought a bunch of parts at auction a few months back, and I am told the crank on the right is for a busy bee disk machine. Just in case you don't win the item, Lajanus(Justin Schwab) sells an excellent reproduction as a buy it now on ebay. He is a very good fellow to deal with.

I have to second Harvey's thoughts on Ladanjus (JAS Antiqies - Justin) reproductions, I've bought a Graphophone floating reproducer, a grille for my Amberola D X and a TTCo. horn crane from him and I'm absolutely happy about the quality of his items.Phonofreak wrote:Just in case you don't win the item, Lajanus(Justin Schwab) sells an excellent reproduction as a buy it now on ebay. Re: WANTED: Busy Bee Grand Reproducer and Crank
I lost the bid at $175 for the reproducer on Ebay over the weekend, so I'm still looking for an original reproducer. I did see a another one on Ebay that needs parts to restore it.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/BUSY-BEE-DISC-P ... 2ed06ab2eb Would it be difficult to find parts to restore this one, or Should I keep looking for a complete reproducer? The same dealer also has a crank listed with a starting bid of $67.50. Anyone got an idea of what my maximum bid should be?
