The Amberola 30 was a very successful machine for Edison and many were sold. Therefore, they are common to find today. However, it is not often that you find one in this condition. This one has a stunning original finish. All parts are original. I cannot find a flaw in the veneer. If there is one, it has eluded my detailed search. The paint is way above average and the machine plays absolutely beautifully. It has a strong jewel and a loud nickel plated reproducer. It retains the original grill cloth, though with some obvious, and expected signs of age. It has the useful speed control through the gear cover.
This Amberola 30 is an early one, with the ID plate on the inside of the case. It is serial number 21559. It would have come out in the first couple of years of production. Later models moved the ID plate to the upper bedplate and eliminated the speed control through the gear cover.
As an extra bonus. it has the original instruction booklet that came with it when it was brand new.
This is a collector grade machine. If you are in the market for one, you'll look long and hard to find a nicer one.
The price on this is $SOLD firm. I would deliver this to the Wayne show for free, but only if it is sold. Its not leaving my collection until its sold. I would ship this machine, but it will be well packed, fully insured at your cost. I do not want to be part in damaging something that has made it through time in such a super nice condition.
