As I was in the local Goodwill store today looking for old shellac 78 rpm records (which they had none of) on my way out of the store
I glanced up at the pictures on the wall they had and WOW I found this nice Victor mirror advertisement. I couldn't pick it up fast enough.
They wanted 6.00 for it. It looks old but not really sure I really don't want to take it out of the frame. Does anyone on the forum have
an Idea what these are worth and how old it may be??
Thanks
Gene

I believe this and the smaller one (which I have) were made in the 70s.

It isn't very old, but at that price you got a nice buy.

Not too long ago, I paid $40 for a similar one. Should have gone to Goodwill..

Re: A Nice Goodwill Purchase
Not to high jack this thread but, my Wife and I also had unbelievable purchase at a thrift store yesterday. A friend called us to come see a china cabinet that had just come in. To our surprise......it is the matching china to our Arts & Crafts dinning set. What are the odds of that!!!....????.
Also, in mint original condition as our set. We are just floored at this time.
Needless to say we brought it home last night. The price was just a "gift" in our eyes. After 30 years our set is complete. Here it is yesterday in the thrift store and now at home. The manager told us a lady was in earlier and stayed for about an hour trying to haggle them down on the price.
We are so darn lucky she left to think it over. At $500 what the heck was to think about....

Nice piece for show and tell. Not much to do with a "talking Machine". Regards, Johnny

About a month ago, at Salvation Army, I picked up a nice working Regina coin-op Hexaphone for 75 dollars. They said it had just come in.

Well, funnily enough.....this cabinet was in a Salvation Army store....Wolfe wrote:About a month ago, at Salvation Army, I picked up a nice working Regina coin-op Hexaphone for 75 dollars. They said it had just come in.
We have not been in a SA for years. If our friend (lives near the store) had not called us.....we would have never known.
As they say......."you never know". The funny part of this is......our friend phoned me two days ago and based on his vague description......it did not seem interesting. He was going to send me a pic but never did. Then yesterday at 5:30 he sends me the pics...
