Broken record taken on a new form

I only have about 3 Victor records, yesterday one of these broke when I picked it up, so I now have 2 and a half.

Anyways, I had an idea to make a guitar truss rod cover and here is the result!:

Might need a bit more finishing off but I think it's not too bad!
A word to the wise...melting 78's smell horrid!

I thought the 4th pic was Christmas ornaments. :roll:
