WANTED: Blue Amberol Special records

Post by briankeith »

Looking for three Edison Blue Amberol Specials: letters H, I, and K. Dark and light blue tubes with correct lids of course - in good playable conditon and good tubes. Thanks for checking! (I am not really sure how many letters were actually in this series)

Re: Blue Amberol Special records - need a few to fill my gap

The special issues ran from A to K and became available in early 1913 to those who bought the Blue Amberol Attachment to update an earlier machine.

The only ones I have bought in the UK are E and K, and of these only E has the correct box and lid. F has been for sale on UK eBay for months, but no-one has been prepared to pay the £25 asked for it.

If like me you are amused by political incorrectness, you will enjoy K when you find it.

I bought the whole set a couple of years ago from ebay in the original wooden box. Unfortunately there were only 2 lids. All had the cases but not the lids. They are in great condition and are some of the loudest, clearest cylinders I have.

There's no Special "I". Just ABCDEFGHJK...
