A fine musician, 19 years old, recently came round for the evening to play some music - her style being in the classic R&B area not unlike the marvellous Kitty, Daisy & Lewis (also worth mentioning in this context - they record on vintage equipment and release 78rpm versions of all their material). I played her an Arthur 'Big Boy' Crudup 78 on my EMG and she was spellbound. Both at the time and in a conversation since, she described it as the most astonishing experience she'd ever had. Heartwarming! I hope to encourage her further.

Haha, GUARANTEED if you're nearby … a wife, an offspring, whoever … and there's something hot on the machine, you're gonna get swung around a little
“The cup of tea on arrival at a country house is a thing which, as a rule, I particularly enjoy. I like the crackling logs, the shaded lights, the scent of buttered toast, the general atmosphere of leisured cosiness.”
