Victor Factory Photos?

Post by SignatureSeriesOwner »

Does anyone have photos inside the Victor factory of the assembly lines and such? I would love to see these machines as they were being produced, if anything like that exists.

In Look For The Dog, by Robert Baumbach, pages 224-261 are devoted to reprinting a factory tour (with many photos) that originally appeared over multiple issues of The Voice of the Victor.

If Look for the Dog is insufficient for you, the "Voice of the Victor," is filled with all sorts of interesting factory photos. Some larger libraries, such as The Library of Congress, have copies of this important dealer magazine. Otherwise, be prepared to wait and open up your wallet when copies show up on eBay.

I need to get a hold of that book, I don't even own a copy.

Thanks guys. Isn't there a way to view LoC documents online?

Look for the Dog is available on Amazon for $28.95. That and The Victor Data Book by the same author are must haves for Victor Collectors. Highly recommended.
