Has anyone seen anything like this before? Is there a chance it is factory-produced, or the result of a madman with a spray can??

Maybe better than the usual lime green, but not much..

Canned ebony! I also think the innovative positioning of the doors adds a particularly nice, fun-house touch.

If anything good can be said, it doesn't look like it was done anytime recently. If I had to guess, this was probably done in the '50s or '60s when the piano finish look was in. The effects they were trying to shoot for with this cabinet remind me a lot of the big European radio/phono units of the late '50s/early '60s.

That machine is a blank canvas to be finished with pinstripes or some sort of Chinese design.
